HOW WE LOOK AT PLACEMENTS - WHAT WE WANT TO PROVIDE

As athletes approach placements and the opportunity to join teams or potentially level up next season, let's talk about what it all means!

We openly communicate with all athletes (continuing and new) about where they're up to and we place them on teams we believe they'll thrive on for a cheer season. We really want to see happy, confident and healthy athletes getting the most out of our incredible sport.

At placements, we're looking for athletes to have level appropriate skill prerequisites with strong technique, on the floor and able to confidently repeat them 3 times to counts.

Here's a flyer outlining expectations for our levels

Please note: If you have some but not all the skills or have lots of experience stunting in a specific level above your tumbling abilities, we encourage you to come to your current level along with the higher level to see if you're ready, or maybe ready for a development version of the level.

In most (if not all levels) in SA we aim to offer both team(s) & also development teams.

This way, athletes can compete on a team where all of their teammates have mastered skills! They'll also have the opportunity to start training & competing either in a different way or towards higher level stunt & tumble skills- either on a development team or another second team (alongside their main team).
